NOW-NYU & Student Groups Rally for Affordable Birth Control!

NOW-NYU, NYU Voices for Choice, and other student groups joined forces in Washington Square Park to protest the skyrocketing cost of birth control as a result of the implementation of the 2006 Deficit Reduction Act.  The act effectively ended the discounted rates that college health centers and safety-net providers like Planned Parenthood had available to them to provide wide access to birth control to students and low-income women. The protest turned out women's groups from all over the city, and sent a strong message to Congress to restore affordable birth control.  Take Action!
