Service Fund of NOW-NYC - Annual Holiday Gift Drive for NYC Girls in Need
THANK YOU!Each year, the Service Fund of NOW-NYC hosts a Holiday Gift Drive in the hopes of providing a brighter holiday season for young women (ages 12-17) facing violence in their lives - many of whom live in local shelters or transitional housing in the NYC area. Because of the generosity of so many businesses and individuals in the NYC metro area, our 2010 gift drive for at-risk girls was a tremendous success!
We are reaching 75 young women this holiday season! That's: - 35 girls at GEMS (Girls Educational & Mentoring Services, serving sexually exploited girls);
- 25 girls at Inwood House (serving pregnant and parenting teens who are homeless or in foster care);
- and 15 girls at a local facility in a specialized program for girls who face sexual violence.
