Compiled by NARAL New York the Book of Choices is a comprehensive online guide providing unbiased information and options for women in New York State facing an unplanned pregnancy. The site features a list of over 75 abortion providers throughout the state, different ways to pay for your care, adoption and parenting resources, and a detailed chart of birth control methods. Are you Under 18? If you are under 18 years old, you do not need to get permission from your parents or guardians in order to obtain birth control, STI testing and/or an abortion. You are protected in New York State by confidentiality laws that make it illegal for doctors to tell your parents if you have received sexual and reproductive health services.
If you are a New York City teen and interested in reproductive and sexual health services in NYC, please check the NYCgov website, Teens in NYC booklet. All clinic listed offer confidential and free or very low-cost sexual health services for teens. These services may include: Condoms, Birth control, Emergency contraception, STD testing and treatment, HIV testing, and Pregnancy testing.New York Abortion Access Fund
