The Queer Advocacy Project

IMG_3353_final_lgbt_icon.jpgThe NOW-NYC Queer Advocacy Project pursues justice for all people in New York City by advancing changes in critical everyday aspects of life. We work as a community based group to engage those within and outside of our membership to create acceptance in legislation on all levels, in the workplace, in resources throughout our organization and across New York City.

Priority Issues for the Project

-Homelessness among Queer youth
-Workplace Discrimination and Safety
-The intersection of Identities (e.g. Queer and religious)

Join Us!

The Queer Advocacy Project meets regularly on the second Wednesday of every month at 6.30pm at the NOW-NYC Office. To get involved or for any inquiries regarding the work of the project please contact the chairperson Rebecca Rafelson at rebeccarafelson@gmail.com or call the NOW-NYC Office at 212.627.9895.
