The NOW-NYC Political Action Committee is proud to endorse the following candidates for office. Endorsements are based on the responses to the NOW-NYC PAC Questionnaire, candidate interviews, voting history, and a demonstrated committment to advancing women's rights and supporting equality.
New York State Assemblymember Jonathan Bing (D) 73rd Assembly District, Manhattan
Authored Equal Rights Amendment legislation, and demonstrated leadership on advancing women in the workforce, and supporting women’s reproductive freedomand equal marriage.
New York State Assemblymember Deborah Glick (D) 66th Assembly District, Manhattan
Has a longstanding and demonstrated commitment to women’s issues, and has been a leader on fighting for reproductive choice and gay rights.
New York State Senator Thomas Duane (D) 29th Senatorial District, Manhattan
Demonstrated a longstanding commitment to women’s issues and took leadership on a New York State Equal Rights Amendment for women and on advancing gay rights.
New York State Senator Liz Krueger (D) 26th Senatorial District, Manhattan
Demonstrated a longstanding commitment to women’s issues, including leadership on equal pay legislation and being a vocal advocacy for reproductive choice.
New York State Senator Eric Schneiderman (D) 31st Senatorial District, Manhattan
Supported hostile budget amendments to increase funding for anti-discrimination agencies, sponsored legislation to recognize domestic partnerships, sponsored the Women’s Health and Wellness Act, and co-sponsored the Dignity for All Students Act.
New York State Senator Martin Connor [Endorsed in 2008 Primary]
(D) 25th Senatorial District, Manhattan-Brooklyn
Supported New York’s Equal Rights Amendment, demonstrated leadership on gay rights and unwavering support for women’s reproductive choice, and took a difficult stance in facilitating the opening of a domestic violence shelter.

Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney (D) NY-14
Has shown a longstanding commitment to fighting against global human trafficking, supported funding to eliminate the lag in DNA testing of evidence from rape assaults, and made efforts to pass a bill to restore enforcement of wage discrimination laws.
Congressman Jerrold Nadler (D) NY-8
Has shown a longstanding commitment to women’s issues and has taken leadership on issues that affect women's lives.
