The Service Fund of NOW-NYC


The Service Fund is NOW-NYC’s charitable sister organization, delivering educational programs on key women's issues and providing direct services to women for more than 30 years. The Service Fund's Project Access program provides a free call-in HELPLINE and Legal and Financial Clinics in the areas of divorce, custody, employment discrimination, and financial literacy.

Helping Women Going Through Divorce

Our Divorce & Separation Legal Clinic pairs women with experienced matrimonial attorneys twice per month and is the first step for women as they begin the divorce or separation process.  Spanish speaking and/or translation services are available. The accompanying Divorce Financial Clinic, provides women going through divorce with sound financial guidance. The Divorce Financial Clinic is held several times each year with a certified financial planner who specializes in addressing the specific questions of women going through or considering divorce.

Employment Discrimination Legal Clinic

The Service Fund offers an Employment Discrimination Legal Clinic two evenings per month that is conducted by an attorney with longstanding expertise in employment law.  The clinic addresses employee rights and workplace discrimination issues that women may face, such as sexual harassment, or pregnancy, gender, or disability discrimination. The Legal Clinic also helps women properly prepare to file with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and covers the options and legal remedies available to women facing discrimination in the workplace.
