The Service Fund of NOW-NYC

The Service Fund of NOW-NYC is the educational and charitable arm of NOW-NYC. The Service Fund provides direct services, legal assistance, support and referrals to women in the New York City area. While NOW-NYC works to change to social, political, and economic condition of women collectively, the Service Fund works to help individual women with the immediate problems they face stemming from discrimination. The Service Fund Board of Directors is the governing body of this arm of the chapter.

Our Helpline receives hundreds of requests each month from women callers on a range of issues: domestic violence, divorce, employment rights, health, educational issues, and so other issues. Over the years we have developed knowledge of resources-local and national-that provide women with solid, reliable information and help. Selected online resources

Legal Clinics
The Service Fund runs two monthly legal clinics: the Employment Disrimination Legal Clinic and the Divorce & Separation Legal Clinics. These free clinics provide critical information for women needing legal guidance. More on our legal clinics
