NOW-NYC Tells Viacom: We Won't Watch!

September 9, 2007

NOW-NYC and supporters, including the NYC Radical Cheerleaders, gathered in Times Square on the day the Video Music Awards aired. Protesters sent a strong message to Viacom and MTV that "Women Won't Listen!" until we slam the door on the outdated stereotypes and sexism that dominate mainstream music. Products of Viacom supporters, such as Cotton Inc., Trident, and Pepsi, were disposed of in the "Freedom Trash Can." Our Women & Girls in the Media Committee
