With the help of supporters and women's rights advocates like you, in 2011 we:
• Provided legal assistance and referrals to more than 1,000 women needing help

• Mobilized women and men across New York City to take a stand against rape

• Secured legislation that will keep guns out of the hands of batterers in New York

• Pushed to restore funding to critical sexual assault programs for women and men

• Fought back against shocking attacks on birth control and abortion rights.

We need your support to continue our work! 

In the coming year, we are making it a priority to: 
• Oust New York City's anti-woman Congressman Grimm 

• Ensure hospital rape kits aren't being tossed in the garbage 

• Launch our first-ever Take Rape Seriously student summit

• Block bishops and conservatives from further restricting our birth control access 

• Expand our legal help services for women going through divorce

One of our very own - Michael Grimm - co-sponsored a bill that would leave a woman to die on a hospital table if she needed a life-saving abortion.  If that wasn't bad enough, lawmakers and bishops are now trying to take away our birth control. Women's health clinics are facing major funding cuts while deceptive  Crisis Pregnancy Centers feed women lies about their health.  And with the Supreme Court blocking the class action lawsuit against Wal-Mart, women have lost legal ground on fighting workplace discrimination.
